October issue of Irish Lives Remembered published

The October issue of Irish Lives Remembered magazine is available on the free-to-view online 'shelf'.

The focus of this month's issue is Derry-Londonderry so if you've got ancestors from this area you'll be interested to read an overview of the collections held by the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland, including the Londonderry papers which were bought by PRONI earlier this year, a three-step guide to tracing your Derry family, and an in-depth look at the North of Ireland Family History Society, among other features relevant to the county.

There are also features to help you with online research of your Irish genealogy, finding records in New South Wales, the tale of a Sligo emigrant who participated in the American Civil War, and an article about the Irish in Maine, USA.

There's plenty more besides, and all to view on-screen or download by clicking the image above.
