Irish Family History Society Seminar, 12 October

The Irish Family History Society (IFHS) will be holding its Autumn Seminar this coming Saturday, 12 October.

As always, it will be held at the Dublin City Library & Archive, 138 Pearse Street, Dublin 2. With registration from 10am, the seminar gets underway at 10:30 and there's a break for lunch (not provided) from 12:30 to 2:00pm. The lectures are as follows:

10:30       Estate Rentals, with Dr James Ryan
11:30       Killester and its families: the story of the Soldiers' and Sailors' Homes, with Margaret
               Bonar and Elizabeth Craven
  2:15       The Landed Estates Database: a resource for family and local history, with Marie Boran
               and Brigid Clesham
  3:15       Sources for tracing children in care in Ireland prior to 1952, with Fiona Fitzsimons

The seminar is free to attend, there's no booking required, and non-members are welcome.
